Benedictine hospitality.
The Tower Café is an essential part of St Mary’s mission to provide a place of hospitality and refreshment. Since its inception, the café has allowed our church building to be place of gathering and community in the heart of Brecon for young and old alike. Young families especially enjoy our play area and relaxed atmosphere.
Good food makes
for good company.
We provide a fine range of high quality and locally sourced food in our spaciously light and airy south aisle while remaining competitively priced. We also sell homemade cakes and Illy coffee – world famous and ethically sustainable. Fairtrade coffee is also available. The quality of our food and service is demonstrated in the wide array of people who have made Tower Café their go-to place to meet friends, enjoy good conversation, or meet for business.
Local Produce.
Wherever possible, we use local suppliers for all our food. Bacon comes from a butcher in Brecon, and all other meat and fish from the Black Mountains Smokery near Bwlch. Our homemade cakes are produced by Clams of Crickhowell, and our bread from the bakery across the road. Bottled water – Brecon Carreg - is from the Beacons, and our award winning apple juice comes from Talybont–on-Usk. In the near future, we hope to source our salad ingredients from local farmers. Our homemade soups are freshly prepared on the premises every day.
Open Monday to Saturday, 9 am - 3.00 pm.
The Tower Café kitchen closes at 2.00pm.
